ATHLETES FOOT
Athlete's foot is a fungus infection when the skin between toes become itchy and sore, cracking and peeling away. This fungus grows well in warm, damp areas like swimming pools, showers, and locker rooms, which are commonly used by atheletes. Athlete's foot lives on exclusively dead body tissue, and occurs from sweaty feet, tight shoes, and failure to dry feet well. Feet will usually get itchy, become sore on the skin, scale and crack, inflame, and form blisters on the skin. If the blisters break, raw patches of tissure may be exposed. If the raw patches spread, itching and burning may increase.
Athlete's foot can be treated by usuing antifungal sprays or creams. Most creams or sprays include the active ingredients hydrocortisone, to relieve itching, and miconazole to lessen the infection.
